Spring
I forgot to look up from my songs
And suddenly Spring has arrived, outside my window
In the bright pink leggings of the little girl playing in the park
On the bare ground that’s dried out from the snow
Leafless branches are quivering in the winds
But Winter has left, and Spring is moving in
What should I do about that? I hear myself wondering
Like a small rock hesitating in a flowing spring

The metronome is marking droplets of Time
One two three, four five six, one two three, four five six
One two three, four five six… I’ve forgot to look up
And Spring is outside my window
