Song Two (On The Edge) – Version 1

Hello Saturday!

I wrote this song back in Oct 2018, and recorded it with my iPhone at the time. This is a new recording, with proper sound equipments.

I listened to the old recording of a year ago, and I think my voice has gained some power since. I project it better, perhaps because I practice a little bit of martial arts everyday (you know, when you punch or kick and you say “aaaargh”).

I took a week off from music last week as I had to take care of some business stuff. When I was done, I missed singing so much! My goodness!

I realized that singing is a priviledge. How fortunate I am to be able to sing my wild heart out! I went to see a Portuguese Fado singer, Carminho – an artist with a great passion – at Koerner Hall, and she said this about the Fado singers: “We sing not because we want to, we sing because we need to.” And that is also true for me. I sing because I need to.
